Social Events

We plan many social events at numerous Cleveland attractions including:

  • Museum Exhibits
  • Concerts
  • Theater Performances
  • Festivals
  • Cultural Happenings

Our events are all topped off by a visit to a local restaurant where the socializing continues. Discussion groups focus on the philosophy of Secular Humanistic Judaism.

JSC. Social Outing. Sunday, February 26, 2017. 3:00 p.m.

Your Social Committee is setting aside a block of seats at Eldred Theater on Sunday, February 26. That’s when this venerable theater on the campus of Case Western Reserve University will be staging its production of “The Illusion,” a classic French play by Pierre Corneille that’s been adapted by award-winning playwright Tony Kushner. Plot summary: a distraught father seeks the power of dark magic to help him cope with love and loss of a missing son. Don’t be scared off! The critics called this same production in its New York run “a special baroque brand of magic.”

This is a matinee performance starting at 3:00 p.m. (A two-hour production). $7.00 per person. Free parking near-by. After the theater, we’ll gather for dinner and socializing at Maggiano’s Beachwood Place.

Make your reservations now (before you forget!): Allen Guth, (216) 291-5869 or Make check payable to: JSC.
