Program: Join Emily Shapiro, Director of Planning & Evaluation at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, for a look at findings from the 2022 Greater Cleveland Jewish Community Study. Emily will share key demographic trends, highlight how the community has evolved over the past decade, and explore what the data tells us about Jewish life in Cleveland today. Topics will include population trends, community characteristics, patterns of engagement, and the diversity of Jewish identities and experiences across the community. Learn what these findings reveal about who we are today and what they may mean for the future of Jewish Cleveland.
Speaker: Emily Shapiro is the Director of Planning & Evaluation at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, where she helps turn data into insights that guide community planning, strategic decision-making, and program evaluation.
Emily holds a Master's degree in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Illinois Chicago and has over ten years' experience in the Jewish nonprofit sector. She has played a key role in analyzing and sharing findings from the 2022 Greater Cleveland Jewish Community Study, helping community leaders better understand demographic trends, community engagement, and emerging opportunities and challenges.
Emily lives in University Heights with her husband and children.
Food: The JSC will host an Oneg Shabbat. The Mandel JCC is a kosher facility and does not allow outside non-kosher food, plates, cups, or serving utensils. Join us for an engaging evening!
JSC Guest Policy: We love having guests join us! Guests are welcome to attend two complimentary events (lifetime). After that, the fee is $20.00 per Shabbat. Fees paid may be credited towards an annual JSC membership. Learn More Today!
Directions: Enter the JCC campus from S. Woodland. Rd. As you pull into the driveway, follow the signs for Stonehill Auditorium which is on the left side of the building, past the Early Childhood Entrance. Park in the lot on the left across from the entrance. Security provided by JFC Security, LLC, security provider for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
