About the event
This will be the second year of our participation in this yearly event. The mission of Drink Local Drink Tap is to solve global water equity through education, advocacy, and community-centered water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. Besides working locally, the organization has worked on safe water access projects in east Africa.
According to Drink Local Drink Tap, this year, we will be meeting at the Edgewater Beach House and will focus our efforts on Edgewater Beach and the K-9 Coastline. Supplies are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum is 100 volunteers each day.
Those who participated last year enjoyed doing the cleanup and were impressed with the amount of plastic and other debris that was picked up from the beach. It’s a great way to enjoy the beach and the lake.
